Faraz Osman is the Founder and Managing Director of Gold Wala, an award-winning independent production company specializing in originating bold, innovative, and highly scalable unscripted formats. His Exec Producer credits span linear and digital platforms, including original formats Evil Escapes (ITV), Garms (BET/Paramount), and Sounds Like It’s Christmas (Channel 4). His recent format launches include What’s In Your Plant Pot? (CBeebies), Deaf Jams (Lumo TV), and Hold My Hand - the UK’s first dating format produced entirely in British Sign Language and recommissioned as the highest-rated format on the channel. Bringing a unique development perspective, he has launched and scaled true indies, and worked within larger, established label teams. Faraz also worked in Commissioning at Channel 4 as Editor of Education. Former Chair of BAFTA’s Children’s & Young People Committee, he currently sits on the Young BAFTA Advisory Group and the Children’s Media Conference Advisory Committee. He mentors for Creative Enterprise UK, writes a regular industry column for Broadcast, and contributes to The Media Club Podcast. He is a leading independent voice on format innovation, accessibility, and navigating the evolving commercial pressures of British television.
